起死回生:):) |
AN AREA OF CONVECTION HAS PERSISTED NEAR 11.0S 128.7E, APPROXIMATELY 155 NM NORTHWEST OF DARWIN, AUSTRALIA. ANIMATED MULTISPECTRAL SATELLITE IMAGERY DEPICTS A CONSOLIDATING LOW-LEVEL CIRCULATION CENTER (LLCC) WITH FORMATIVE CONVECTIVE BANDING OVER THE WESTERN SEMI-CIRCLE. A 120550Z AMSU IMAGE INDICATES DEEP CONVECTIVE BANDING WRAPPING INTO THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF A DEFINED LLCC. THE SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY LOCATED JUST EQUATORWARD OF AN UPPER-LEVEL ANTICYLONE AND IS UNDER MODERATE EASTERLY VERTICAL WIND SHEAR (VWS). HOWEVER, THE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO TRACK INTO THE JOSEPH BONAPARTE GULF, UNDER A MORE FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT, AND SHOULD STRENGTHEN SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THE NEXT 12-36 HOURS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS ARE ESTIMATED AT 20 TO 25 KNOTS. MINIMUM SEA LEVEL PRESSURE IS ESTIMATED TO BE NEAR 1000 MB. THE POTENTIAL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL CYCLONE WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS IS MEDIUM. Medium! |
